With summer coming to a close, the Summer/Labor Day anti-DUI crackdown was underway. Ontario police said about 65 motorists have been arrested during the crackdown due to suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
All of the arrests were made between midnight on August 16th and midnight on August 17th, according to the Daily Bulletin (8.22.13).
Along with the arrests for drinking and driving, four others were arrested with outstanding warrants and another 13 were arrested for driving with a suspended license. These were only the results from the DUI checkpoints for one day. The checkpoints were scheduled to continue in Rancho, Cucamonga and Upland, according to the news release reported the Daily Bulletin.
According to the Daily Bulletin, other patrols were scheduled for Yucca Valley, Redlands, Twentynine Palms and Victor Valley in Ontario. A total of 25 different law enforcement agencies were a part of the DUI crackdown, which ended at midnight on September 2nd.
